Results: Testosterone Levels

While testosterone is commonly recognized for its role as the “master” male hormone, it is also the key to a man’s overall health and well-being. Optimal levels of testosterone translate into energy, stamina and vitality; low levels into fatigue, premature aging and disease.

Please note:
The use of topical hormonal preparations may lead to very high salivary hormone measurements. These results are not necessarily indicative of true serum levels and require interpretation by a medical professional.

< 35 mg/dl:
DEFICIENT
Your testosterone levels are deficient and indicate a possible marked hormonal imbalance. We recommend that you consult with your healthcare provider to discuss further diagnostic testing and medical therapies for restoring healthy levels of testosterone.

35 - 75 mg/dl:
BORDERLINE
While not yet deficient, your testosterone levels are measurably less than ideal. If you have not already, we strongly recommend testing your levels of estradiol, DHT, DHEA and cortisol for a comprehensive assessment of your personal hormone profile. Please refer to “Be All the Man You Can Be” for more information on restoring healthy male hormones.*

75 - 120 mg/dl:
OPTIMAL
Congratulations! Your testosterone levels are in optimal range. In order to monitor and insure your continued well-being, we recommended repeat hormonal testing every two years or sooner if low testosterone symptoms should arise.

> 120 mg/dl:
EXCESSIVE
Your levels are out of range. If you taking prescription hormonal replacement, please consult with your healthcare provider to discuss these results. If you are currently using a DHEA replacement therapy, reduce your dose and retest in six weeks. If you are not using hormonal supplements, please review the test collection instructions to confirm that your sample was collected properly.
